International FAIR Digital Objects Implementation Summit

For the second time at this scale, the FDO2024 Implementation Summit will bring together key science and industry researchers, technologists, data stewards/managers, and policy makers engaged in advancing FAIR Digital Objects (FDOs), and will feature a mix of invited presentations, panels, posters and demonstrators. While the 1st Summit was devoted to discussing and finishing basic specifications, this Implementation Summit will shift its focus to practical implementations of the FDO concept (testbeds, demonstrators) and the huge challenges of creating an interoperable, stable and persistent global domain of digital data.

The summit will be associated with (1) a day of training courses and (2) a newcomer session.  The major events of the Summit and the associated events will take place in the facilities of the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin and the DIN standardization organization. They will offer video interaction possibilities at the Summit and create video recordings of the training sessions.

They are seeking contributions that shed light on the practical development and real-world functionality of FAIR Digital Objects (FDOs), or alternatively, your strategic plans for implementing FDOs.
