Online Seminar on PIDs for Research Data
The online seminar “PIDs for Research Data,” organized by the PID Network Germany project, delves into the significance of persistent identifiers (PIDs) for research data during the annual “Love Data Week 2024“. Gain insights into application areas and best practices, including practical examples from Ludwig Maximilian University Munich and the Integrated Authority File (GND). Additionally, we’ll showcase the role of PIDs in the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) within the PID4NFDI project and present a concrete use case from the Helmholtz Metadata Collaboration (HMC).
The interactive segment of the seminar provides an opportunity to explore needs and challenges regarding research data identification with participants. Join discussions on overcoming obstacles in the implementation and dissemination of identifiers within scientific and cultural institutions in Germany.
